FEATURING
It’s beautiful how mornings can get you into the mood to relish the warm rays of sun on your skin, to savor a cup of your favorite tea (chamomile in my case), to listen to some Indie music while whipping up oatmeal, play with your pooch and plan the entire day’s to do-list. Cliché isn’t it? However, I like my mornings slow (and a li’l late), where I get enough time to recover my mind and body at my own pace, unlike the days I worked in a 9 to 5 job. I remember not being able to process anything mentally until half of the day and rush to finish things up towards the end of the day.
Talking of working with organizations, I feel a dire need in the current scenario to allow a certain sense of freedom to their workforce in terms of time, and allot only doable share of work. A need to slow down by stepping aside from the number race and looking at well being of their employees is so required at the moment. By this I not only mean the corporate, but every individual who hires another to work under them. A complete change is unlikely to occur anytime soon, however only hopeful for a time when we would stop chasing and start living. Sigh!
A steady afternoon, getting chores done, laundry, editing, a hearty dinner followed by a dessert is an ideal day at home. And I go back to bed with a hope of waking up to another bright morning, making apple cinnamon pancakes wearing a silk wrap like this one from Pretty Secrets.
